Sustainable Supply Chains
We prioritise working with suppliers who share our dedication to sustainability. Where possible, we source locally within the UK, ensuring that our partners uphold eco-friendly practices in their own operations. This approach not only supports local businesses but also helps minimise our environmental impact.
Our Products
As a proudly British company, we prioritise local production and ingredient sourcing, working to keep as much of our process within Britain as possible. Our products are crafted using high-quality natural ingredients and safe, ethical synthetics and our vegan-friendly candle wax and diffuser base reflects this commitment to ethical production. Animal testing is not part of our process—we've never tested on animals, and we never will. The quality and efficacy of our products remain our top priority.
Our candles, diffusers, room mists, and bath salts are all packaged in glass that contains a percentage of recycled content and is fully recyclable. In our efforts to reduce waste, we've increased the size of our diffuser refills to 250ml, including a set of reeds, so they last longer. Refills are a great sustainability choice—they require less packaging, reduce shipping demands and extend the life of our products.
Sustainable Packaging
We use FSC-certified packaging made from at least 70% recycled material, and everything is 100% recyclable. Our candles, diffusers, room mists, and bath salts are all packaged in European-sourced glass that contains recycled content, ensuring that each component can be fully recycled.
Shipping Materials
For all online and wholeslae orders, we use recyclable cardboard boxes and paper parcel tape. Instead of bubble wrap, we pack products with recycled brown paper to prevent breakages as well as loose fill chips used for protection are 100% biodegradable and compostable, made from corn starch, ensuring minimal environmental impact, reducing landfill waste.
Everything Handcrafted
Each product is handcrafted with care, from labelling containers to hand-pouring candles and boxing orders. By avoiding large machinery, we reduce energy use and minimise our carbon footprint.
Recycling & Reusing
We are committed to reducing waste by reusing packaging materials, especially for wholesale orders. We also collaborate with neighbouring businesses to repurpose packaging and reduce overall waste. Our candle vessels, once emptied, can be reused as stylish drinks glasses, pen holders, plant pots, or in countless other creative ways. Share your ideas with us @hoboandco_.
